What a year! This school year was hands down one of the most fun and chaotic (positively chaotic) school years I have ever experienced. I met so many new people, learned new ideas, made some great friends, and of course, made a lot of memories along the way. So, buckle up! I’m about to take you through the highlights of my rollercoaster student life at ACN, and who knows, maybe you’ll feel a little inspired too.

First order of business, Welcome Week and Spirit Week at ACN! You can’t have the full ACN experience if you miss Welcome Week and Spirit Week. They are a great kick off for the school year, and a very helpful ice breaker for everyone (students and faculties).

From babysitting an egg to doing a bar crawl, it’s all about letting loose, having fun, getting to know new faces, and stepping out of your comfort zone. However, one important thing you should keep in mind is that don’t be afraid to say yes to adventure and activities! ACN is a great place to learn as well as to try new adventures, and that’s what Welcome Week and Spirit Week are all about.

Following up about always keeping an open mind to new adventures and activities, let me show you one of the best parts of student life at ACN, the on-campus events!

From Halloween spookiness to Christmas jollies, Thanksgiving dinner, Valentine’s specials, and Easter egg hunts, there’s always something happening that brings fun and merriness to the whole campus.

And of course, how could I forget the legendary Assassin’s Game. It was the ultimate test of trust and strategy. Friends betraying each other, targets getting paranoid, and of course, all the plotting and schemes, made this event unforgettable. Everyone had a good time and everyone was very competitive (you would be too, if you know about the prize).

Apart from the official campus events, one of the best parts of being at ACN is how much freedom you have to make your own adventures, especially with our beloved three-day weekend! With just 40 minutes away by train from Oslo, trips and travels can be very tempting..... so be tempted! Those extra days off are perfect for quick trips and weekend trips to nearby and cheap places. As long as you got your snacks and a great company, everything will be perfect.

Another great adventure you can try is to have game nights at the dorms. Whether it’s an intense round of Uno, a VERY competitive card game, or a chill board game, these nights are always full of laughter, friendly competition, and this will give you the kind of bonding that makes dorm life unforgettable. 

Some days, when you just feel like chilling out and breathing some fresh air, a good barbecue and picnic might help. Grabbing a speaker, bringing out snacks, and just lounge outside can be the ultimate adventure too!

And while the activities with friends and on campus are unforgettable and fun, the adventure doesn’t stop there because Moss is a hidden gem that can provide you with great experiences.

Whether you’re wandering through the quiet streets, ice skating, cheering for the local football team, or bowling, there’s always something charming around the corner.

Sometimes you’ll stumble into an unexpected adventure, and even if you don’t, it would still be a win, because just being out and about in the beautiful town of Moss makes it all worthwhile.

Looking back at everything, it’s clear that student life at ACN isn’t just about the academics, it’s an experience and the many adventures, big and small, that comes with saying yes. Yes to meeting new people, yes to impromptu plans, yes to learning, yes to campus events, weekend trips, movie nights, and every unplanned moment in between. One of the most important things that I have learned this year is that the more you open yourself up to new experiences, the more unforgettable memories you’ll make. So if you ever find yourself at ACN, take the leap, join the fun, and don’t be afraid to say yes because you never know what amazing adventure is waiting just around the corner.
