Last spring, American College of Norway teamed up with the Slovakian film company MIRAMFILM Ltd. who recently embarked on a unique and large-scale cultural heritage project in Slovakia.

Thanks in part to the Norwegian government, Slovakia recently underwent historic statue conservation throughout the country. In response to this incredible project, MIRAMFILM Ltd. came up with the brilliant idea to photograph and visually document the large scale conservation project. Last spring the team visited Norway on a field trip in order to hold meetings with various partners including ACN. In addition, the company also teamed up with Norwegian artists helping creating an international friendship and bond that helped to successfully document this revolutionary project.

Now complete, the film crew with help from Norwegian and EEA grants and working  partners Oslo Fotokunstskole and American College of Norway is ready to debut their impressive project in Norway. With 21 documentary movies and remarkable images in hand, the company will showcase the project throughout Norway this October. ACN fortunately has the privilege of hosting one of these exhibits and we would like to invite those interested to attend and participate in this unique art exhibit with our new friends from Slovakia. The event will be held on Sunday, October 9 starting at 1:00PM. We look forward to welcoming you to this fascinating art exhibit!

You can find more information about the project and the various exhibits and events that will be happening throughout Norway on their site and Facebook page.
