UND Week at ACN!

This past week ACN has been covered in green and filled with lots of UND school spirit and cheer as it’s our annual UND Week! Our week of all things UND is always a great way for our current students to get better acquainted with UND and as a way to start thinking about where they want to study at in the U.S.!

ACN has had the great pleasure of having UND faculty and coordinator of ACN programs at UND, Dr. Tami Carmichael facilitate UND Week! During her visit, Tami has held various informative UND information sessions throughout the week. She has also spent quality time with the students through one-on-one meetings and various activities including serving up some delicious waffles and giving away lots of UND goodies with our daily UND quiz!

Not only has Tami been hard at work helping our current students get introduced to UND, Tami has also had help from former ACN students currently studying at UND and even UND graduates! ACN/UND alumni Lene Matsen stopped by ACN to talk about all things UND and help answer any questions students had during an information session earlier this week. There was also a Skype session one evening with former ACN students that are currently studying at UND! Both of these sessions were a great way for our students to connect with ACN alumni and ask numerous questions they had!

We can’t thank Tami and all our ACN alumni enough for helping out in so many ways! Our students really appreciate it!

In addition to it being UND Week, former ACN student Christine Brentsen recently reached out to us to update us on her first semester in the U.S. and UND. Christine expressed great enthusiasm with her choice of studying at UND and has already attended some sporting events and loves being a part of all the infectious school spirit at UND! Christine also commented on her transition to the U.S. and said, “I am grateful for ACN! The transition went smoothly. I have talked with other international students and they have struggled with the American system, so I am happy that I went through that already in such a safe and small school.”

Thank you for the update Christine and we are thrilled to hear that you are loving UND and college in the U.S. Go Hawks!
