A Universal Velkommen
It's the most amazing time of year at ACN, Welcome Week! For the past week, we welcomed a new class of students to the American College of Norway with fun activities and class bonding.
For the upcoming 2017/2018 school year we welcomed over 50 new incredible students. Students this year are from all corners of Norway and the U.S. bringing a fun and diverse dynamic to ACN’s campus. With the help of ACN, these students can begin their U.S. bachelor’s degree in Norway, where they will eventually finish it in the U.S., starting next year.
Welcome Week is a fun and pivotal time in any American university experience and ACN aims to ready students for college in the U.S. Based on the past week, ACN truly celebrated an integrated Norwegian-American experience that was an obvious hit with this year’s students. Amalie Victoria, talked about her experience with Welcome Week and said,
“It’s hard to pick one part of Welcome Week as my favorite, because it was so well planned and so much fun! We got to know everyone that’s attending ACN. But if I had to choose one thing as my favorite it would have to be Våler Kickoff Senter with the zip lines and paint ball. The zip line was so much fun!”
This year’s Welcome Week consisted of great individuals, fun adventures and lots of laughs from both the students and the faculty of ACN. The events of this year’s Welcome Week included a Moss-wide scavenger hunt, grilling on campus, music bingo, trivia night and delicious Norwegian treats like the locally famous Moss sausage and waffles (pølse i vaffel)! With all these fun activities, students and faculty got to learn more about ACN and each other!
This year’s Welcome Week has proved to be another incredible success filled with laughs and memories!
